My wife has mercifully taken on the job of putting the poly on the new kitchen cabinets I built. This is excellent, because I HAAAAAAAAATE wood finishing/painting. I decided to take my daughters out today for a day out with Daddy, to give my wife the house to herself while she worked.
We made several stops, but my favorite was to Dupage Honda/Yamaha. I first saw one of these Yamaha scramblers about a year ago, and I’ve wanted one ever since. The price is down to six grand! Why must I be broke right now?
The girls had a good time too.
We wer e all sad that we couldn’t each leave with a new motorcycle.

I’ve crawled through rat-turd- riddled insulation. I’ve slid down the earth of my crawlspace with 18" clearance and squished giant spiders with my crescent wrench. I’ve stood on roofs that I was in imminent danger of actually falling though. But I HATE painting and I'm terrible at it.

Right there with you. I suck at it too, and I'm really not interested in getting good at it.

Sweet. I took my daughter to a members dinosaur event at the museum while mommy got to watch the ND game in piece. Tomorrow we’re going to the Northpark auto show.

US regulations meeting Yammie’s suck nowadays. This is one of those corporate culture issues that decide how they respond. Sadly Honda who normally rears their head in these conditions is following a near (off) road.
I’d have come with the smaller of the three bikes knowing it would be fun for everyone but mom and only rideable by the adults for at least another year or so.

You of course realize that your wife doing the poly is something that will come back to haunt you ... “remember when I ...” is one of the most powerful phrases in a relationship. Slightly more powerful is “remember when you ...” and “ever since you ...”. I am trapped. Someone throw me a rope here?

Eh, in addition to remodeling the kitchen with hand made custom cabinets, I also have “Remember when I gutted the entire second floor of our house down to the studs, and remodeled it into a master suite,” on my side.
